maybe someday

This started as a notebook doodle. I scanned it, and thought "oh hey, I kinda like this, but it's on lined paper; I guess I can digitally ink it and then give it a quick coloring / shading job." And then I wound up adding 7. And a non-white background. And a not-so-quick shading job.

For some reason I've been doodling a lot of Julie in my notes as of late. I've also been thinking about her ponytail-feathers and how they get changed out as she gets upgraded to "older" body types. Here she's a toddler and has downy feathers that generally come from the body of a bird, and look rather baby-ish compared to the covert and primary feathers. Her "kid" stage has covert feathers, and as an adult she has both a primary and a tail feather.

Anyways. Like I said before, originally this was just Julie sitting with 7's skullmet. Later I thought that it was unlikely 7 would leave Julie or her helmet lying around unsupervised. So I drew her into the picture as well. I found a different twill fabric texture recently and used that rather than the one I'd been using up to this point. I think it looks a bit more convincing than the old texture.
